Most brides embroider a first name or initials on the chest, "Bride" or "Bridesmaid" on the back, or the wedding date on the sleeve. Allow about a week for most Australian metro areas.

What can be embroidered?

Text, text with an emoji, a motif, or a crest with initials. You choose the placement, the font, the words and the thread colour at checkout. Monogramming is complimentary on most of our robes and pyjama sets; an extra placement on the same garment is $10.

Where does it go?

The popular placements are the chest, the centre back, the sleeve, the hem and the collar. In photos, the chest placement shows in front-on shots, and the back placement shows in the "everyone facing away" shot. Choose the one that matches the photo you actually want.

Grace Lounge Pyjama Set — long satin pyjama set in rose pink with champagne piping

What should it say?

  • Bride, Bridesmaid, Maid of Honour, Mother of the Bride. Safe, classic, and reads clearly in photos.
  • First names or initials. More personal, and the robe gets worn again afterwards.
  • The wedding date. Small, on a sleeve. Lovely years later.
  • Nicknames. Only if everyone in the party is comfortable with theirs being in the album.

Thread colour

You pick the font colour; motifs and crests come in their set colours. For white and ivory robes, a soft gold, blush or the same colour as the bridesmaids' robes ties it together. High contrast (black on white) reads well but looks more formal.

When to order

Embroidered items are made to your order. Monogramming is done in our Gold Coast studio with a 1–2 business day turnaround, then standard shipping is 1–4 business days to most of Australia, so roughly a week door to door. Allow longer for remote areas, for large bridal parties, and over the Christmas period. Personalised items can't be exchanged for a different size, so confirm sizes before you order. Free standard shipping Australia-wide on orders over $250 AUD ($10 under that), express is $25, and most Australian orders arrive in 1–4 business days, 5–10 for remote areas. Allow an extra 2 business days over the Christmas period.
