Homebodii Bride of the month: Liv Benson
A little about me...
I am a primary school teacher currently on maternity leave after having my first baby boy, Hugo with my now husband, Jonny. Jonny and I have been together for 4 years and from the get go, we always knew we wanted to get married. We got engaged on our first holiday as a family of three in Port Douglas when Hugo was 4 months old. We then had 9 months to plan and organise a wedding whilst juggling Hugo and our busy lives as Mum and Dad. Our approach to planning the wedding was To make quick decisions and go with the flow as much as possible due to the time constraints that Hugo provided. Looking back on the day we are so glad that we Had a small intimate ceremony with our close family and friends followed by a larger celebration with our extended friends and family.
The most unexpected part of the day was...
The fact that the day exceeded our expectations in the love and joy we felt. We knew it would be an amazing day but it was even more special than we imagined in the lead up. When I look back on the day now I feel Warm and fuzzy with love-filled memories that I will cherish forever. A word of advice to new brides would be To make sure all of your choices are authentic to you and your partner. We didn’t follow tradition and we made sure to do things our way and the fact that the day was so us is what made it so special.
My homebodii moment was special because...
I was able to share it with my three amazing bridesmaids, including one who had travelled from London to be there on the day. As a new Mum, I don’t have the luxury of slumbers with my best girl friends anymore. So the quality time we spent together the night before and the morning of the wedding in our Homeboddi pyjamas was a slice of heaven. Now whenever we wear them I will always remember this special time that we shared together. We wore The Grace Lounge Pyjama Set. White with blush piping on the arm with our initials.
