A little bit about me…

Hi, I’m Eline, 30, based in the Netherlands. I work in hospitality as a Marketing & Communications Manager, and outside of work I love photography and capturing meaningful moments. I’ve always appreciated beautiful details, so planning our wedding felt like a very personal and creative journey.

Our approach to planning the wedding was…

We focused on creating a day that truly reflected us. As a Dutch–Ecuadorian couple, it was important that everything felt warm, welcoming and personal. We had 55 guests representing 12 different nationalities, which made the atmosphere incredibly special. Everything blended together so naturally, and it felt like a true celebration of bringing people and cultures together.

I planned the wedding myself, which was made possible by carefully selecting and fully trusting the right suppliers. That trust allowed me to really enjoy the process and the day itself.

Looking back we’re so glad that we…

Stayed true to what felt right for us instead of overcomplicating things. We trusted our choices, our suppliers, and allowed ourselves to enjoy the process instead of striving for perfection.

The most unexpected part of the day was…

The speeches, and especially seeing my husband’s emotions. It’s such a personal and vulnerable moment, and it made the day even more meaningful than we could have imagined.

When I look back now, I feel…

Grateful. It was everything we hoped for and more. A perfect balance of emotion, joy and celebration, surrounded by the people who matter most to us.

My advice to new brides…

Don’t leave your husband’s side too much throughout the day. It’s so easy to get pulled in different directions, but those moments together are what you’ll remember most. Also, take small moments away from the group to pause, breathe, and really soak it all in.

My Homebodii moment was special because…

My Homebodii moment was extra special because my sister personally bought it for me in Australia and flew back with my set in her suitcase. It made it feel even more meaningful. Getting ready that morning, surrounded by my closest family, was one of the calmest and most intimate parts of the day.
